Dear Member,

Attached are two documents that spell out why the IBEW has endorsed and supports Joe Biden.  You will see that he has supported the IBEW in the past, and his plans for his presidency will improve the lives of not only IBEW members and their families, but all working people.

IBEW International President Lonnie R. Stephenson issued the following statement regarding Joe Biden’s clean-energy plan:

Here's a great resource for voting information and registering to vote

This election season, we need to vote for leaders who’ll stand with us and keep our Unions strong.

The federal election is quickly coming up on Tuesday, November 3 — and union construction workers across the state are standing together to elect candidates who will keep our job sites safe, protect our benefits, and stand with working families.

The first page of the IBEW Constitution begins with a declaration:

"Our cause is the cause of human justice, human rights, human security."

It’s a powerful statement of the values that IBEW leaders and members pledge to uphold when they take the oath of membership. And combined with the union’s first objective, to organize all workers in the entire electrical industry in the United States and Canada, the message is unmistakable.

IBEW International President Lonnie R. Stephenson issued the following statement in reaction to the death of

George Floyd: “The men and women of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers stand with the millions of

Americans demanding a full investigation into the death of George Floyd, an African-American pinned down

by a white Minneapolis police officer who kneeled on Floyd’s neck as Floyd pleaded, ‘I can’t breathe.

Great article. Critical thinking and Fact checking go out the window nowadays. This article admits it is a conditioned response intended to elicit fear and outrage.
